Create New Order
Adding an order manually
- Navigate to ‘Manufacturing Orders’
- Using the Actions ‘New ManufacturingOrder’
- Select an order prefix, the list of availableprefixes can be added to, or amended by Navigating to‘Manufacturing Order Prefixes’
- Search for and add a finished product to be madewith the manufacturing order
- Add quantity, due date and location informationand save the manufacturing order. If it is manually created, it willautomatically be in ‘Firm’ status
- The structure (BoM and routing) for the finishedproduct will be copied into the manufacturing order and the relevant quantitieswill show on the ‘Summary/Work In Progress’ tab and the ‘Shortages’ tab
- Each line item can be edited directly in themanufacturing order by selecting the ‘Modify’ action for that line item
- Any additional notes that are required for themanufacturing order can be entered directly in the ‘Notes’ tab and will also printon the route card
- The subsequent manufacturing order statuses(after ‘Firm’) are :
- ‘Release’ – Releases the order to the shop floor
- ‘Issue’ – Issues component items from stock intowork-in-progress (Also : ‘Part Issue’)
- ‘Completed’ – When the finished products have beenmade and booked into stock
- As stock is issued to the manufacturing order,the relevant quantities will update on the ‘Summary/Work In Progress’ tab andthe ‘Shortages’ tab
- The route card can be printed using the action: Route card
Adding additional items
- Navigate to ‘Manufacturing Orders’
- Search for / select the relevant manufacturingorder
- Use the action : ‘Unplanned Issue’ toissue additional materials not on the original BoM
- Labour and overhead costs can also be added inthis way via the ‘Add Cost’ action
Completing a manufacturing order
- Navigate to ‘Manufacturing Orders’
- Search for / select the relevant manufacturingorder
- Use the action : ‘Finish’
- Enter the quantity completed, quantity scrapped,and the lot number if required
- Save and the order status will be updated to‘Completed’
