Overview
WinMan label printing uses Zebra Programming Language (ZPL) to create label templates. These label templates use the Scriban scripting language to allow for labels that have repeating structure but different data. Labels can be added to any module in WinMan, but several modules have prebuilt workflow to automate the label printing. Users can specify which label and printer is used.
To automatically print to remote label printers WinMan uses the Printer Hub Client which must be installed before labels can be printed via WinMan.
Compatibility
Any printer that supports the ZPL language should be compatible. Please check with your vendor prior to purchase.
Designing Label Templates
The easiest way to design a new label template is to use label design tools such as ZebraDesigner Essentials 3 (freely available via Zebra) or a similar label design tool. These specialised third-party tools have user-friendly interfaces that will help you create your label design without you having to learn Zebra Programming Language (ZPL) code. They can output the template in ZPL code that you can copy into WinMan directly.
You can create labels that include information from your WinMan data, or add barcodes, QR codes, images (e.g. logos, warning icons), shapes and static text to labels.
